I have seen these smaller crystals called "babies" on other websites'
descriptions, but I see babies usually as one or two larger crystals
standing at the feet of a crystal with a parental energy.
Characteristics:

the wisdom and trust which attracts the smaller crystals. Used

Merlin crystals, also called Generator, recognized as a configuration

apex. I have found these harder to come by (natural ones)

I haven't found reference to these marks in any
crystal book, but have developed my own idea as to what they signify.
I believe that crystals with imprints show how something is affected

original structure, but the original structure adapts to its environment
to allow for growth and change, while still maintaining its basic inherent
truth and beauty.

mines I have gotten crystals from are thought to be slate from what
I have researched and understand to be true. Inclusions can be
of any type of mineral or other substance.
Characteristics: I think slate is a form of Chert. These are just
educated guesses. Take them for what they are... not facts or definites.
If you are reading this and know something different, write and tell
me! I love to learn!! Melody lists Chert as a form of Chalcedony
(pronounced Cal-Sidney) which resembles flint but more brittle. Can
be used to provide stability and to assist in remembering (daily issues
or to "look back" to the past or the past lives, or to help find
