The larger pieces are referred to as chunks, and are excellent tools for scrying, reflective meditation, etc. Because they are larger, they are better suited for placement in a special place such as an altar, the car or office. The sizes all vary due to the nature of the chunks, but they range a little smaller or a little larger than the size of a golf ball. Of course, the shape isn't always rounded, but usually more flattened, like "chunks" taken off very large crystal points.
The smaller pieces are referred to as chips, and are also great for meditation, and are small enough to be carried in a medicine bag, purse, or pocket to carry you throughout your stressful day. The smaller chips vary in size between a large marble and a walnut. These are usually the very tips of a larger point, and do contain the six-sided facets, because of the way they were sheared from the body of the main crystal. Others, however, might be the cylindrical crystal body middle, without the pointed/faceted tip.
Because of the inclusions and fractures contained within these chips and chunks, they are especially well suited for general meditation, as opposed to whole power-directing crystal points.
For hobbyists and professionals alike, consider the large milky
and water-clear chunks well-suited for tumbling, carving or using as bases
for other art projects. Also great for adding to a fountain.
These sizes are approximate, they are sometimes chips, sometimes
the body of a crystal, so the size varies.
