ARKANSAS QUARTZ CRYSTAL
Quartz (as a MINERAL) is a very common... it covers nearly 25% of the Earth's surface."...this area currently provides the purest quartz crystal known to mankind"*
What is special about Arkansas Quartz Crystal compared to Crystal from other places:
"The closer...crystal formations lie to the magnetic core of the planet, the greater their magnetic field. All quartz mined in areas such as Arkansas in the United States -- a region which is extremely close to that core -- emit powerful electromagnetic energies, and this area currently provides the purest quartz crystal known to mankind."
About Quartz Crystal in general:
Therefore, when you hear people speaking of "feeling vibrations"
from certain crystals, this is actually based on scientific fact!
The vibratory pattern, (piezoelectricity), can actually be measured. So, no, we are not nuts. (Well, that may be up for debate, but the crystals truly DO emit vibrations.)
Even though a crystal will shatter, it is still hard
enough to cut glass. Quartz is considered high up on the Mohs' Scale
of Hardness. So what's that mean?
The Mohs' scale is one common way of measuring a stones' hardness,
where talc is considered a "1" (talcum powder) and a diamond is considered
a "10". Quartz crystal is a "7". That's pretty high.
The ones between quartz and diamond are stones such as emerald,
ruby, sapphire... think of your precious and semi-precious stones.
In order for a person to carve into quartz (and by the way, I have tried... it is no mean feat) you have to use diamond bit drills. And even with that believe me it is not easy.
Quartz crystal is considered a semi-precious stone. However, as stated earlier, it is also used in fields such as industry and electronics. And, as some of us know, it is also used as a tool by metaphysical healers, shaman, chiropractors, and acupuncturists and etc.
As a metaphysical tool, crystal is used to amplify, transform, focus, and transfer energy.
Quartz crystal expresses the unity of all four elements (Earth, Air, Fire, and Water).
