 This is a golden healer cluster that sits atop a sandstone wedge.  The top edge has points coated with a shiny delicate orange golden coating, iridescent.  The sides have veins running along them as well ("V"-ed down to the point at the base) This is a really cool cluster!

These Golden Healers are in a variety of colors, from a dark rust (left) to a light golden (middle) to a very light iridescent sheen (right).  I understand from talking to various people that the golden coating is caused from minerals (I believe they said titanium?) present in the mine.
Some of them are completely covered, others have places where the golden covering is broken up a bit.  In the places where the coating has been lost, it is usually due to the fact that some of the golden layer sticks to the red clay instead of the crystal, and as the clay dries from the crystal, it pulls the golden layer away with it.  (It makes for some very pretty mud!) 

Some of them (especially the clusters) still have some of the dense red clay in the deepest cracks... I left that clay there as further healing power.  I have found that when I cut my finger when digging for crystal and apply the mud, the cut heals much more quickly than usual.  It seems to be a very powerful substance.  That is why I have chosen to leave the bits of clay on where it didn't want to easily come off. 

You will notice that the crystal beneath the golden layer is clear or milky, just as traditional crystals appear. This golden color is only a surface layer, it isn't the color of the crystal throughout.*
