In the beginning, almost 100% of the quartz crystal I sold was gotten in what I consider a rescue operation.  The crystal points were salvaged from the tailings or "discards" that the large commercial miners have tossed aside.  Some of it is still from the crystal I gathered from the mine.

Since I haven't been able to dig, and have been purchasing crystal to sell, I am still rescuing the empathic crystal points as a large portion of the crystal I bring home with me.  I feel drawn to it more than much of the "AAA" grade crystal, actually.

Not all of the quartz crystal I have has suffered damage, but due to the rough handling most of it has gone through prior to my rescue, much of it has.  My heart hurt for these "discarded" crystal points, and it is primarily what prompted me to start gathering it.  I began to see each crystal as an orphaned child that needed a loving home, regardless of its physical shape, and I see myself as an adoption agency of sorts.

This slight and sometimes severely "mine damage" (small dings or chips) doesn't effect the crystals inherent beauty or healing power. Crystals with damage are called "Empathic" and promote understanding, compassion, kindness, and empathy. They are also thought to open the hearts of those who have closed them, and protect the open-hearted from too much pain.  I call these empathic crystals "meditation" points, as they are nice to hold, and feel good to meditate with.

The more empathic crystal points with a significant amount of mine damage but with powerful energy has been used for orgone energy generators by many clients.  Some of the higher grade, empathic and less empathic crystal has been used for healing, Reiki energy work and energy grids among many other uses.

The hand-held meditation points sizes are assorted.  The average is "thumb size", 1" diameter, 1&1/2 " length, some are larger. Most of them are water-clear with Devic inclusions (Fairy Frost) and some are milky at the base where they have broken off from their crystal matrix but clear toward the top.  It is important to note that the "meditation points" DO have some mine damage.

The most clear crystals are thought of as "masculine crystals". Such clear crystals often emit the most intense energies making them very potent tools, especially for healing. The masculine crystal will provide positive assistance for those who are somewhat confused, or their overview of life is "clouded" by emotion. They are of particular benefit where action is required, and where physical exhaustion is a problem.

Most of the meditation points I send are masculine.  If you prefer a feminine crystal, please specify.  The reason for this is that in traditional "grading", the clear crystals are higher grade, cloudier, a lower grade (the most clear and "ding-free" are considered AAA, most cloudy and with dings are considered A or AA.  As for energy grading, I don't feel this grading system applies, but for the crystal "industry" it does.  That is why you will specify your particular  desire to get the best fit for you.

 "Feminine Crystals" are more cloudy (contain more Devic "fairy frost") and are sometimes opaque or milky in appearance. Those who have difficulty relating to their feminine nature should use a feminine crystal in their daily routine. Whenever a person is suffering from an over-abundance of energetic forces or activities, using a feminine crystal can help to reduce the tension.

Since we all possess masculine and feminine traits, it is best to have both in a crystal collection. However, if we have trouble balancing our two sides within, it might be helpful to own a crystal that allies with the side of ourselves that we have the most trouble coming to terms with.
