These are close up shots of Record Keepers from ARKANSAS CRYSTAL WORKS crystal points taken by a friend  with a microscopic digital and video camera.

Crystals which have small pyramid-shaped marking on one or more facets which designates them as record-keepers.  In order to see these markings, you must tilt the crystal face until the glare of a bright light is seen on that particular face (until the face looks white with the glare of the light) you should then be able to see any record keeper markings on the face if they are there.  If there are none, the face will look like a piece of glass with the sun shining on it (bright, but blank).   If it has recorders, they will look like little outlines of triangles with shadows like the ones pictured above.  Sometimes the entire crystal will have only one marking on one face, sometimes it will have literally dozens on each face.  Some are stacked, some aren't.  You must have bright light and the right angle to see these, however.  The same thing is true with lineation or any other geometric etching that you are trying to see on a facet.

It is said that only those with open minds and pure hearts can access the information stored in the record keeper crystal and I have also heard that the information in certain recorder crystals can only be accessed by a certain person or group of people.  At any rate, I get a thrill when I see a record keeper marking, as it is like finding a hidden treasure in my crystal.

As you can see in the pictures, the record keeper markings look like they are raised and that you would be able to feel them if you rub on them.  I suppose if you were extremely tactilely sensitive you might be able to, but I haven't been able to feel them at all even when I know they are there, and even when they look raised enough that you would think you could feel them.  The surface of the crystal feels as glassy smooth as a crystal without these markings.  I think record keeper crystals are simply amazing.   *

*most of the descriptions on this page came from excerpts from Melody's Love is in the Earth series and several other books found on the reference books page... take a look!

Some of the references came from several other books, too many to mention, (also found on the reference pages)

Other descriptions were from the years of experience of my working with the crystals (I am beginning to think I am channeling part of this information from somewhere (I don't know how this works), as some of my thoughts and answers to your questions and to descriptions come to me in a very strong Latino accent.)  ??  hmmm

If you feel compelled to use these descriptions, please e-mail me, I am happy to share, but I like to know where my hard work is going to show up, and if you are unable to do this, please post credits.  I appreciate it.

If you don't have Melody's books yet, they are very reasonably priced and DEFINITELY worth the investment!  They are all excellent books!  A must have for any library!  I refer to them almost daily.

The best way to learn about the crystals is to meditate and experience them for yourself, I think each person will get what they need from each crystal, depending on what that particular crystal needs to communicate to you at the time.  I think the descriptions should be used as a general guide to describe the configurations to lead you in a direction, not as a hard and fast rule.  This is my opinion, however.  Happy learning!    Genn    :)
